Kristen a.k.a. Kitty Tarragó is a Miami native who has brought that Miami heat to NYC.

She was first introduced to theater and film in South Miami. After graduating, Kristen moved across the country to Los Angeles, working on television, web series, and film productions. Yet, it was her performance in RENT on Hollywood Blvd that reignited her love for live theater.

Kristen embarked on her next adventure as a Production Singer and Dancer for Carnival Cruise Lines, captivating audiences from 2016 to 2022. However, her unwavering dream of performing on Broadway led her to the dazzling lights of New York City.

Kristen made her mark in the heart-pounding musical On Your Feet 2nd National Tour, where she began as a part of the Ensemble and received the opportunity to showcase her versatility by understudying two significant roles—Gloria Estefan and Gloria Fajardo. You can catch her now as Gloria Fajardo in the current production of this Broadway National Tour.

Actress I Singer I Poet

“In the performance under review, the first after opening night, the central role of Gloria Estefan was handled by an understudy. Kristen Tarragó met the challenge, singing and dancing in an impressive performance that brought the character to life.”

By: Steve Feeney

Miami native Kristen Tarrago plays Gloria’s mother, and she turns in a wonderfully realized performance carrying some of the best songs in the show. Tarrago and Garnica duet in the only original song for the musical “If I Never Got to Tell You,” and it becomes one of the spiritual climaxes of the night.

Broadway World

“Kristen Tarragó…

Has an impressive amount of range. Showing musical prowess, excellent comedic timing and sass, and a conflicted and layered character through the scenes she appears in. While “On Your Feet!” is mostly style over substance, Tarragó carries a lot of the emotional beats as if they are nothing.”
